Sienna Restaurant is my favorite

We had been to their Roseville location a couple of times, so we knew what generally to expect.
Since we arrived early, we began at the bar for happy hour. A nice menu of wines by the glass, craft cocktails and small plates gave us plenty of choices. A cocktail for each of us, then we ordered 2 glasses of wine before happy hour ended and took them to the dining room for more expansive and comfortable seating.
Our server Bree was delightful. We settled on the skirt steak and the prime rib sandwich. It was hard to decide actually, there were so many delicious-sounding choices (I almost opted for the scallops with risotto, which I've had in Roseville and was outstanding, but I wasn't that hungry this time). The sandwich was perfect, thin-sliced perfectly medium-rare beef and a tasty horseradish sauce, with a side salad and a delicious vinaigrette dressing. My wife enjoyed her skirt steak, but the sauce could have been a bit more flavorful.
Decor is gorgeous - airy and interesting, with exposed wood beams and a gas-burning fireplace in the main dining room. As I mentioned, service was excellent. Prices are okay considering the setting and the quality of the offerings.

Review from Yelp The American Steak House is one of those funny restaurant genres that delivers a variety of experiences. Obviously what you get at the low end chains is fine, but not really exceptional. The premium chains deliver good product, but knowing that I can go to a Ruth's Chris anywhere in the country kind of takes the charm out of the upscale experience. If I'm going to pay $100 for dinner, I want a unique experience.
I think C. Knight's delivers on this experience. Top shelf cuts of meat prepared by a kitchen that is putting passion into their work. Is it objectively better or worse than a steak I can eat at a Ruth's Chris? I doubt it. The promise of a more unique experience from a local restaurateur is what rounds out the package to make it more appealing.
It's a premium dining experience with high quality food prepared by talented chefs and delivered by a staff that understands the experience you're paying for.
